Hey all you cool cats and kittens! Welcome to Wednesday and to the third day of my 5 days of freebies! In case you're just checking in, in honor of my birthday this week and the launch of my first digital design collection, I am sharing 5 free downloads for you to use to create your own projects!
Today's project is definitely a favorite in our household! After creating our felt Christmas tree this year I have become very excited about felt projects. Even better, my brand new Cricut Maker can cut felt so perfectly and so easily! Man, I wish I had this for my animal cookie ornaments!
You can download my cut files here or use my Cricut project link to get started. If you're using my files, I've grouped the layers by color, but once I got it into Design Space, I made each cut its own layer so I could conserve material.
Because I didn't want to do a ton of sewing and because I had the material on hand, I decided to make the eyes and mouths out of iron-on vinyl which worked super easily with the felt pieces. I hand sewed the eyes and white bellies to the shark bodies with a simple whipstitch.
Natalie loves these little guys and I can't wait to come up with more ideas to add to our new felt board! If you, like me, are thankful for one of the only gifts from 2020, Tiger King, you can buy these matching designs for our shirts in my online shop! This is a digital cut file that you can use in your digital designs, printed projects, or even to make your own apparel!
I hope you enjoy making this special project for your littles and watching it spark their own creativity!
